In our very special tribute to Women in Translation Month, our Women of the World box celebrated all things international feminism and translated fiction. Our book of the month was The Adventures of China Iron by Gabriella Cabezon Camara, translated and published by Charco Press. As a truly special gift, we worked for months on a specially curated feminist map of the world, including feminists from every single country of the world, and an accompanying booklet describing their accomplishments and reasons we should know their names. This project was called Put Her on the Map, and the map was designed by Emma Lemon exclusively for Books That Matter. We also included a Women of the World cookie by M and H Bakery, a sew on patch and feminist print from Betty Rat Bag, as well as a Put her On the Map bookmark and laptop from Nicola Darwen.
